Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Robert Frost
Will be leaving London again in less than 24 hours. This time, I'll be visiting Amsterdam, Brugge, Milan, Krakow and Stockholm over 9 days. Somehow, I'm not as excited compared to my last trip. Its probably because this is just a relatively small trip. Or perhaps, these are not the places that I truly wanted to go. Oh well, no harm going around to have a look. I'll go see what is being offered. I'll try to find beauty in it. Nyeh!

Moral Sense

There is no such thing as right or wrong.
This is what I've learnt from the past few years.
Drinking is not wrong.
Flirting is not wrong.
Having a fling is not wrong either.

You can smoke,
you can have piercings and tattoos,
you can be gay.
There's nothing wrong about it.

You can lie to someone,
party till the wee hours,
and gamble all night long.
No, these aren't wrong either.

As long as you don't hurt someone,
its alright.
As long as you don't inflict pain on someone,
its fine.

Moral sense are just a set of guidance,
a confinement
that is meant to be applied only on yourself.
Never judge the others with your own moral sense.
They are not absolute,
but your own petty righteousness.
By standing on the moral high ground,
it gives you no right to judge others.

Yet, amidst knowing all this,
I still fail at times.
The moral sense that my over-conservative parents imprint on me,
still influence my judgment subconciously.
Because of this,
unessary boundaries and limits are established.
Because of this,
my life is confined.
Thanks mum, thanks dad.

Closure due to Snow.

Even though I know that classes will have to be replaced at the end of the day, I still can't help but to grin with excitement when I get emails from uni in the morning saying that classes are cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
